Bio

After blazing a trail through 2009 with a steady slew of original productions, stellar remixes (for the likes of Bloc Party, U2 and Phoenix), explosive DJ sets AND a new radio show on BBC Radio 1, Alex Metric starts 2010 with his biggest, brashest release to date.

'It Starts' sees Alex taking up vocal duties once more and delivering an immaculately-pitched two fingers up to the tedium of the daily grind. Backed with quick-stepping drums, crackling synths and guitar from no less than Bloc Party's Russell Lissack, this is a real statement of intent from Metric, showcasing his ever-expanding pop sensibilities and all-encompassing love of both indie and electronic music.

Alex is currently putting the finishing touches to his debut album, and producing a host of big name pop stars, as well as touring with his new live band - does this man ever sleep?!
