News

It's all go at MPHQ. Our offices have moved to Old St in London so we can streamline what we do, and focus on releasing more great music than ever. Our spiritual home is still very much in Brighton where Adam is based and the creative side of things are still run.

It's been more than a month since we sent you the last newsletter (slackers) but we have been up to much and preparing greatness.

Adam just did a whirlwind world tour, skipping through Europe, Japan, USA and Canada. The highlight had to be Coachella, a massive 60,000 strong festival on a Polo field in the desert at Palmsprings. Radiohead, The Cure, The Pixes and the like were headlining. An all round mammoth event. Adam packed out a 10,000 strong dance tent and drove them to fever pitch with the odd bit of rock anthem mosh pit mayhem. Click here to see a video clip of the show.

For those that care, we have changed distributor, which is the reason there has been some delay in getting you 'Freeland, Wink, Middleton - 'Rise Above'/Adam Freeland - 'Fgroove', and Evil Nine's 'Restless'. We are now distributed in the UK by Intergroove. They also handle our exports worldwide, so if you are a shop and want to stock our stuff please get in contact.

New Site

We are also pleased to announce the launch of our new website. From www.marineparade.net, you can now get all the latest Marineparade-ness. You can also buy downloads of our music, get our records, CDs and T-shirts delivered direct to your door almost anywhere in the world. Get up to date info on when and what our releases are, and download shitloads of free stuff like ringtones and exclusive live mixes, videos and much more.

Music

We have brought forward the release of Evil Nine's album 'You Can Be Special Too' due to hundreds of calls and emails from all over the world. It seems people cannot wait to get their ears around a copy. It's now due out the last week in June. The new single 'Restless', with a ripping mix from Dylan Rhymes is out... click here to buy it online.

'Crooked', featuring Aesop Rock, has been postponed till August. (If you are desperate for it you'll have to just buy the album in its full DJ friendly double pack fatness.)

It seems that's Evil Nine's mix of Dylans Rymes on lot 49 is causing devastation worldwide, with the likes of Deep Dish and Tenaglia all over it.

Adams Freeland's new mix Fabric mix cd is out on June 14th and features some very tight new science, special marine parade megamixes mashed with some impossible mixing skills. Go to www.fabriclondon.com for more info.

Freeland, Wink, Middleton - 'Rise Above' is out now on a limited edition viny promo - we have only pressed 3,000 copies so hunt one down quick. Click here to buy one from our site.

Following from his remix of Kelis' 'Trick Me', Adam has now put his magic touch to Infusion's new single 'Better World' with a Prodigyesque largeness. It's only officially being released in Australia so you'll have to hunt it down.

Ils is also very close to finishing his new album and it's sounding bad ass. Should be on the streets in September.

Latest releases on Marine Parade are:

  • Evil Nine - 'Restless'
  • Freeland, Wink, Middleton - 'Rise Above'/Adam Freeland - 'Fgroove'
  • Fex - 'Stricken roots'
  • Freeland - 'Now and Them' album
  • Freeland - 'Supernatural Thing' (with mixes by Tom Middleton, Krust and Die, StereoTyp and Adam and the Evils)

On Tour

Come to Adam Freelands new Fabric Live mix cd launch at Fabric on Friday June 11th.

If you are in Europe you can catch Adam at a series of festivals he is touring with Massive Attack over the next few weeks, the highlight being Sonar in Barcelona on June 19th.

The next official Marine Parade night is on July 10th at a brand new club in Brighton called Audio, which is located where the old Escape was and is officially our spiritual home as it is actually on Marine Parade (the street the label was named after).

Adam's top ten tunes.
