Welcome to Submarine April 2006!

Hola. Another one of our very sporadic news letters to let you know what is going on in Marine Parade world

New Release: 'This Is The Sound'

We discovered New York female DJ sensation K-Swing through her impeccable mix tapes, and snapped her up to join the Marine Parade US dj arm a few yrs ago. From New York City, the very gorgeous K Swing is now a well established name stateside known for rocking the party, with her deliciously tasteful mixes of electro, house and deep breaks.

For her debut production she has joined forces with the original Marine Parade debut artist 'Beber'. Together they have conjured a lush tribal bit of deepness, which takes on the classic Marine Parade sound with a twist of new generation 'Evil Nine' influence. For the remix, 'Adam Freeland' has teamed up with another new Marine Parade artist 'Sebi Spanks' for a club killer, which takes influence from Digitalism, Justice and the French Ed Banger sound.

Available on vinyl, mp3 and wav, from the Marine Parade Shop. Or Beatport users, go direct to Beatport

Evil Nine

Evil Nine are busy in the studio completing their follow up to the brilliant debut album 'You Can Be Special Too'. Expect to hear a new single by them on our website SOON…
For budding producers out there they have put up the parts for the classic track 'Lovers Not Fighters' for you to remix. Check their myspace remix page where you can download the parts.

Adam Freeland

After a sellout show at Club Continental in Mexico City, Adam has just mixed his first in the Global Underground series: 'GU 33 - Mexico City' which will be available June 5th. Littered with exclusive Adam re-edits and underground gems from labels like Paris's Ed Banger, Super Discount and of course Marine Parade. The album also features a brand new Adam Freeland track called "Silverlake Pills".
Adam is now busy in the studio in LA working on the follow up to 'Now & Them'. Expect some exciting new Freeland collaborators...
Check the Events Page for his USA & UK tour dates.

Forthcoming: Jape 'Floating' Remixes

Adam Freeland's contribution to the 'Back To Mine' series presented the world with an insight into Adams love of music beyond the dance floor. Jape's 'Floating' was featured in the mix and was one of the most talked about tracks on the album. Since then its had the honour of being covered and played by 'The Raconteurs' and has been gathering underground support from far and wide, now the track is finally going to be made available on Marine Parade!
A unique signing for Marine Parade, and one which stamps our intentions for diversifying the label's output for the future, exploring the boundaries of lo-fi electronica and folk and beyond. Japes 'Floating' melds mortality blues, hip-hop and Gregorian chants to head-bopping affect.
This will be available on 12" with two great remixes from Alex Metric and Prins Thomas, and a 7" with the original and Son Green mix. There are also two more Prins Thomas Versions which will be out on download only. You can preview all now on the website.

Forthcoming: Alex Metric 'Whatshewants'

We welcome our newest signing. Alex has released some great singles on other labels but is now ready to record his debut album for Marine Parade.
He's delivered a great electro remix of Jape's 'Floating' and his first single will be 'Whatshewants'. Keep checking back to hear the tracks but in the meantime checkout his latest DJ mix.
